Matryoshka mini quilt

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Matryoshka paper pieced block »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Ethnic, Cute, Whimsical, Romantic

Materials

Fabric and batting

What was your inspiration?

I just love Matryoshka, and I wanted a "scraps friendly block", that can be used in a large quilt with many variations of colors.

What are you most proud of?

I like how this simple design makes a cute mini quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's a fun and easy project, perfect for a beginner who wants to sew her first paper pieced block.
Use scraps, many leftover fabrics are perfect for her clothes!

Hello, I am not sure to understand well what you ask. Do you spaek about kimono fabric? In any case, if you have a very fragile and precious fabric, I would recommend to frame the blocks with a glass frame (not an open one) and to avoid to expose it to the sun. I hope this answer your question. Cheers,y
