What materials did you use? Kona Cotton fabric for face, hands and arms, a fat quarter of patterned fabric for body, legs and sleeves, fancy yarn for hair, pima pens (fine tipped) and water colour pencils for face, chenille sticks in the hands and fingers, and odds and ends of net and sequinned fabric for skirts plus ribbons.

What are you most proud of? I'm pleased that, this time, I did a needle-sculpted face, which was much easier than I'd thought it would be. This particular doll has had no less than THREE heads! I wasn't happy with the first two, so kept taking her head off until the third one was a bit better! Still not perfect, but it's all a learning curve!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's not nearly as difficult as it looks - but don't make one of these for a child: they're meant for decoration only!

Brilliant. Love the legs! I must put mine in my projects.

These pictures were taken before she was quite finished. I finished her last night and now she must have a "photo-shoot" with her finished legs, hair and jewellery!

Oh, my. How adorable! And so very clever, too. You are just having way too much fun! Love, love, love her!

Thank you! I must confess to being rather pleased with this one - she's much better than my first effort and I hope they will keep getting better and better now. My next project will have hands with individual fingers. I've made two hands already, but no doll to go with them yet!

You are soooo talented! What a doll

Thank you, Helen! No talent involved - I just followed Jan Horrox's very clear instructions - she's the talented one!

She's finished now (27 February), with a hat, embellishments on her dress and ankles and some jewellery. I must be careful not to overdo it, so will start a new doll so that I keep my hands off this one!
