Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Holiday

Materials

Ivory dish soap bottle, variety of sized cans, old sheets, burlap, gold spray paint, styrofoam balls, doll faces, small dolls, wire, yarn, starch.

What was your inspiration?

My Grandmother created these many years ago. They have been a wonderful asset to our holiday decor.

What are you most proud of?

I love the fact that 40 years ago she was recycling items before recycling was popular. Also that they have lasted so many years w/little upkeep. We store them in a plastic bag in a cool place.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Decide the height of your project and then find the objects that will accomplish your desire. Take your time to allow the starch to dry and lay where you want it to.
