Brush and shake the quilt before washing it. Check it half way through the dryer and empty lint trap. Or take it to the lanudry mat.

Making the one for mu husband, my cat (nuggie) would not stay off of it. This started out being 2 squares for the arm of the couch

All the fabric cost my under $25.00

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The pattern calls for 21 different fabrics. I did this one with only 13. It repeats more put I didn't mind. Also only got 1/2 yard per fabric not 3/4 that it called for. But the most important thing is that there is going to be lint, even after you wash it. It will stop...
