Mariners Compass

Instructions

This was a pattern from a class I attended recently. The compass was made with the help of freezer paper. It was a very quick method and no mess with bits of paper at the end.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Mod

Materials

Cotton

What was your inspiration?

I always wanted to learn freezer paper techniques especially to get the sharp points needed in stars.

What are you most proud of?

That I used mainly scraps from my stash and the end result is pleasing, at least to me :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time until you get the hang of it. Do not rush it, keep the iron, cutting matt and rotary cutter next to you and invest in a "add a 1/4" ruler.

I think the blue fabrics give it a nautical look. Nice!
