What materials did you use? Cotton scraps and leftover fabric.

What are you most proud of? Learning a second method of Foundation Piecing. I wasn't terribly keen on the rather blank star in the middle and, in any case, my join wasn't exactly perfect, so after I'd done the April blocks (English Paper Piecing) I made a little paper pieced flower and put it in the middle.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is just as easy as the other foundation piecing project for March, but doesn't result in as much bulk. Go for it!

Ooh this is so good too and love the little hexi addition, so creative. I have had fun looking at each of your block all in one go... thanks Pat:)

Thank you, Desna - it's surprising what I can conjure up to cover mistakes!

Thank you. I started out rather half-heartedly with the January blocks, intending to use up all kinds of scraps, but got really interested and the whole project took on momentum with my leftover purples.

Love your hexigon flower! That blank middle has always bothered me and I've put off doing this block. Thanks for the inspiration!
