This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Knit Lab: Projects, Patterns & Techniques »

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Children

Style: Casual, Cute

Materials

Sirdar Supersoft Aran - 100gm - Nougat 828 US 7 (4.5mm) Bamboo Circular Needles

What was your inspiration?

My daughter needed a scarf, she's 2 and keeps trying to wear mine, which are far too big. Despite this being an adult's pattern, the short length and pretty details made it perfect for a toddler too!

What are you most proud of?

Finally making something my daughter will happily wear!!

HOW CUTE for your little girl! My older daughter (age 4) asked me to knit her a scarf and this pattern didn't even cross my mind...I think she'd love it in pink.

Thank you. My daughter loves her first scarf (which is great because I make her clothes too and she isn't always so enthusiastic about them!), she even knows how to pull it through the keyhole to wear it! I didn't make any adjustments to the pattern and it fits her really well at 2 1/2 years old. I chose the colour because I liked it, then realised it matched her hat and mittens, she always puts them on together. I used the remainder of the wool to knit myself some pixie style slipper-boots :)

How can I purchase a copy for this pattern?

Hi. It comes with Stefanie's Knit Lab Class in the course materials, I suspect she designed it especially for the course. I've had a look at her website and Ravelry and can't find the pattern anywhere else. You could try searching www.ravelry.com for keyhole scarf pattern or something similar in lace and you could add a keyhole to it - its made with like buttonholes, 4 stitches cast off/on mid row.
