What was your inspiration?
saw the beautiful medallion in a quilting store...thought I'd take up the challenge and do something I hadn't tried before

how nice it came out and actually laid flat!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun! Pick your material carefully, you have to get something with a repeating pattern and be sure that you cut the repeats EXACTLY so you get the right effect when it's all sewn together. I tried to have a big poinsettia in the bottom triangle and a smaller on around the top...worked out pretty good. This pattern won't have the same effect if you just use a small allover design.
