Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Stitch & Slash »

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Funky

Materials

I made most of the material from the scraps left over from the stitch and slash project, it is mostly batik, the lining on both is cotton and the same colour as the band on the make up bag. I finished the glasses case off with a Dorset button.

What was your inspiration?

Using the scraps of fabric left over from the stitch and slash project, I hate waste and was eager to use them.

What are you most proud of?

having a go at the making the fabric and it turning out so nice

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

dont hesitate just do it

Christine--your sewed your fabric scraps into designer accessories--its fabulous! You have the eye for dramatic color combinations. All those crazy colors punctuated by a hunks of green/mint. I want one of those eyeglass cases. Want to do some trading? I rateyour project A+ Outstanding.

You make me smile. LOVE your colors. Now I'm motivated to go to my studio tomorrow and pull out those fantastic colors. Or, maybe go to the fabric store and buy some of that flower fabric. Hmmmm.
