I made this based on Myra Wood's new colorwork book and on the Kai pattern that used Firefly. Of course, heavier yarn needs more ease, and also the darned thing was just way too long, especially for all that color change. So, time for some SURGERY! I liked the blues and purples, but not the browns, and it needed to be 3.5' shorter. So I took off the knitted-on sides up to where I needed to cut, then I cut out the browns, and grafted the bottom 4 or 5 inches to what was left of the top part. Then I added some short rows to the unstitched sides (to add some width at the bottom) and grafted those onto the center panels. Now I will cut off the excess at the bottom of the sides and finish the edgings. This is fun!
