I collect Charles Wysocki. I have this kit as well, but haven't started it yet. Beautifully done!

I'm not usually one for cross-stitch, I prefer the free-hand type(my add can't handle doing the same stitch over and over a million times! LOL!) But this is absolutely beautiful! I don't have the patience or the good eyesight for counting necessary to follow patterns. Was this counted or printed on cloth and stitched over? I might be able to do one already printed if I had another project to work on when I got bored! I love all types of sewing pictures. I will have to look up this artist and check out his work!It is a he right? Michelle

P.S. I think the darker Mauve/ ?burgundy matting you used and your dark frame looks much better and adds so much more to the finished product than the mat they show it framed in , in the kit advertisement! Michelle

Thank you Michelle! I always find deciding on how to frame them is always the hardest part of the whole project! Sorry I it has taken me this long to respond to your lovely comments, I have only just seen them! This kit was counted, as are all my cross stitch projects. I do know of a really lovely wysocki kit of a general store, I think, that is printed on the fabric. I have always wanted to do it myself but I prefer the counted kind. I usually cross stitch as a break from quilting and other crafts where I make up the design as I go along. Sometimes its nice to just be able to take advantage of someone else's creativity. Even though I am Australian, not American, wysocki is my favourite artist and I have half a dozen of his kits, they are always fun to do because the designs are so busy

Your project looks beautiful, and I, too like the framing. I've been working on this pattern for 5 years and have some stitching questions that may be more specific than just a comment. If possible, can you email me at kjwsew@yahoo.com? I would love to hear from you!
