This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Machine Quilting with Templates: Creating Design Perfection »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Charity

Style: Classic, Traditional

Materials

Quilt top and back are 100% cotton; batting is Hobbs 80/20; thread is Glide trilobal

What was your inspiration?

The quilt top was designed by Alycia Carmin, our Colorado State Coordinator for Quilts of Valor. I loved the mystery concept that was presented and decided to join in!

What are you most proud of?

I love red/white/blue quilts and this one will go to a very special person......an injured soldier recovering or has recovered from injuries recieved in service to our contry.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's a fun project.....just do it!!

Pat, I love it! Your decision to use McTavishing in the backgrounds adds so much movement to this quilt. GREAT job! Thank you so much for making a quilt for QOV.

Love Kimmy's style of teaching, where she shows us step by step on paper, then right on the quilt. The little hints along the way are invaluable. I don't have anything on the frame right now, but I'm itching to start using some of these techniques!
