What was your inspiration?
I found out how to use two colors together on my knitting machine - one on the front and the other on the back - and just thought that was great. I knew how to make simple ponchos on the machine but now with this it looks like it is linned with another color. It was a big hit with my daughter in college, I think she had one in every color. And some of her friends liked them as well. I even have several, simple to throw on and keeps the chill off.
What are you most proud of?
That I made something with no pattern that everyone likes, from little ones to friends my age, (don't ask, but I am a grandma) And I can make these ponchos ANY color I or someone else wants.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you have a knitting machine, try all the patterns, take lessons, these are great home type machines that don't really cost a lot but you get things done so much faster than by hand knitting'
