What was your inspiration?

A favorite book in our house, Miss Rumphius, by Barbara Cooney, was the inspiration for this cabled cardigan. The story is about a grandfather who encourages his granddaughter to make the world a more beautiful place.

As an adult, she makes her town more beautiful by sowing lupine seeds everywhere she goes. The illustrations show a winding path in a seaside town dotted on both sides with bright colored lupines.

This was the inspiration for my seed stitch cabled cardigan.

What are you most proud of?

love the yarn choice with this pattern. It shows off the details so well and is so incredibly soft around the collar.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

choose a soft yarn, as it will be around your little ones sensitive little neck.
