What was your inspiration?
My son took a class last year in Adobe Photoshop and had to make a rhodoscope which is taking a photo and breaking it down to its basic tonal qualities. It was a great picture, and i decided when i received this quilt challenge from our guild with 4 fabrics, that this was what i would make.
What are you most proud of?
Playing with the three dimensional aspect of the zipper and ties.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Ignore the fabrics and focus on tone. If it calls for a dark, it doesn't matter what the dark is, and the same for a medium and light. I think this could have been done in pinks, purples, browns, yellows, anything!
