This pattern was inspired by Lucy Pevensie, the youngest "Daughter of Eve" to become a Queen of Narnia in the classic book series *The Chronicles of Narnia* by C.S. Lewis. The cabled hatband is reminiscent of a wreath, from which the not-too-bulky tam covers the crown.

Bernat Natural Blends Alpaca OR Bernat Softee Chunky, 5.0mm and 6.5mm double pointed needles, cable needle, yarn needle, 6.5 mm circular needle (opt.), scrap of yarn for marker

What was your inspiration?

Lucy Pevensie from "The Chronicles of Narnia" series. Also, I love cables.

I made the original of this pattern for the little girl in the purple version that is pictured.

What are you most proud of?

Creating staghorn cables when I had never done them before.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

CHECK YOUR GAUGE!! I knit tightly. Adjust needle sizes as necessary.
