Instructions

This pattern uses a Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm). This is a larger size hook than usually used with thread crochet and makes working with thread crochet easier for those who are not comfortable with thread.

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Functional

For: Unisex

Style: Cute, Funky, Classic, Whimsical, Traditional, Ethnic, Holiday

Materials

bedspread weight cotton thread (size 10) It uses small amounts of crochet thread and many colors can be used so it is a great project to use up small amounts of crochet thread (15 yards being the most that is needed). Other materials Needed:Small amount red embroidery floss (or choice of mouth and hair color) Small amount of polyester fiberfill Tapestry needle Washable fabric glue.

What was your inspiration?

Saint Patrick's Day of course.

What are you most proud of?

I love his little pointed ears. Actually, I think the whole darn bookmark is really cute.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid of thread. This works up really fast and I find thread easier than yarn.
