What was your inspiration?
The surprise birthday party was luau themed, so of course the Luau was the inspiration - beach, ocean, fun.
What are you most proud of?
The detail! I found several cakes I used for ideas on other sites, but I elaborated and embellished them greatly with all the extra details!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Plan far ahead when working with a cake that has so many elements. It will save you a lot of late nights, I promise!
