Caron Simply Soft lavender and plum yarn, materials called for in the directions.

What was your inspiration?

I want to knit a giraffe for my cousins new grandchild. I decided to take this course and knitted this little guy for my granddaughter before attempting to do it for the baby.

What are you most proud of?

This was my first attempt knitting a toy. I have knitted since I was young, however this was my first attempt at something like this. I had only knitted things that weren't as much work. I learned a lot of new knitting skills while knitting this project and it has given me confidence to try other more difficult projects. Moving on from the blankets. Yeah!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I would suggest watching the video several times and practice using the four knitting needles before attempting to begin the project.
