Instructions

I looked up pattern measurements used for a 3-4 yr old. Used 21" waist X 1.5 to cut fabric. Length was cut to be 11', but due to the pleats is closer to 14'. Hemed then pleated lower part (about 4').

What was your inspiration?

I made this for my 'practice granddaughter'. She's in Baton Rouge and I'm in Dallas. I have had this fabric since my daughter left for LSU and she graduates this year.

What are you most proud of?

The way the pleats lined up. I ended up with about 1" of fabric, it was perfect!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Find a fun fabric so the pleats stand out.
