3 1/2" squares set diagonally

Instructions

3 1/2" squares set diagonally -

I sewed 3 1/2" strips together, then sewed the first and last strips together to make a big tube, then cut the strips into squares.
I separated each column of blocks, starting with a different square at the top, then following that pattern throughout the quilt.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Children

Style: Classic, Traditional, Casual, Cute

Materials

Cottons and cotton blends, 80/20 batting

What was your inspiration?

An LSU fan was having a baby and it seemed like the perfect pattern. The 3" squares was a quick pattern.

What are you most proud of?

It turned out pleasing to the eye and the little one that now has the quilt is 2 years old and is rather possessive about his quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have fun with the colors, but use at least 4 different fabrics.
