What was your inspiration?
I had never knit "lace," but this super simple pattern encouraged me. I started another scarf in a multi-colored yarn and the effect was gorgeous. I knew I wanted to make one for my sis, who's also a knitter and would appreciate it. Found this great soft yarn in wonderful colors, and it reminded me of the shimmering sunsets I've seen from my sister's porch...she lives in a neighborhood called Lower Crossing.
What are you most proud of?
I can knit lace!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You can see the pattern better in a randomly multi-colored yarn than in the subtle gradations in this colorway.
