What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be sure you have enough contrast.

wow, that is so pretty! i love the colours! so...you say you have a frame. What kind of setup and i can't quite see how you quilted it. Do you mind sharing what design you did on it? thanks - great job!

Thanks for the compliment. This is what I used. I have a Grace start right frame with a Babyloc Baby Jane sewing machine. It only quilts 8 inches at a time so it is pretty limited but the best we could afford at this time. I'm working with a perfect perfect pattern that guides where I go. I'm using the big zigzag and quilting every 2 inches. I've played a bit now and I like to quilt not too close together because the closer you get the stiffer my quilts turn out. I like soft liveable quilts.

I also have the grace start right frame and Babylock Jane. Sometimes I make up small pantographs (about 6 inches high) for some of my quilts. The harp size is somewhat limited- I agree.

I did two sets of blocks to get that size I couldn't decide which print I wanted and then deciced to combine the two sets of blocks. I used from my stash of teals so both sets are not identical to count the fabrics might be tricky since as soon as I was done showing it off my daughter. Julie called dibs....

I also thought the print in the binding really made a difference. Really gave it a kick.
