I used the "Intuitive Applique" Method, then embroidered the feather stitch over all the seams. The flowers and sequins went on next, and finally, the couched memory thread vines. It was a 3 day project for a friend.

It's absolutely beautiful, Allie. I've watched my class, but haven't begun yet. I've made crazy quilts, but all have been machine embroidered. I am trying to find the time to learn all the hand stitches and get started. I have all the fabric I'm going to use in a box just waiting for me to find the time. Thanks for the inspiration. I really need to get started. Not enough hours in the day!!

This is soooo beautiful, really speaks to my heart. Love blue but must remember not to use them too too much or they loose their effect for me.

Thanks....this was made for a person going through very intense chemo and several surgeries in her battle against breast cancer. I'm so glad it spoke to you!
