Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
The Top-Down Icelandic Sweater »

Instructions

Almost done with the yoke. Using more than 1 strand of yarn takes some getting used to. I'm glad I decided to do a bigger project (as opposed to color work in socks) to learn this. Smaller yarn would have seemed to fussy I think. And doing a yoke in a sweater is much easier to manage.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Classic, Casual, Traditional

Materials

LettLopi ordered from The Nordic Store in Iceland. It's Icelandic Wool in beautiful colors.

What was your inspiration?

Finally get to make something for myself (it's after Christmas)

What are you most proud of?

I'm making a sweater AND it has color work. Next project will be top down crazy lace sweater

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Craftsy is just one of the best ways to learn a new skill. Use the 30 sec repeat....before you attempt something tricky and during..... over and over and over if you need....no one will know how many times you watched it. =-)

The start for this sweater looks really nice so far. Are you enjoying the two color technique?

Lovely! I am waiting for my contrast color to arrive. Originally I bought white, but didn't like the way it looked with the dark grey I chose as the main body. Am counting the days until it arrives!
