Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Beginner Serging: Machine Basics & Techniques »

Instructions

1.) Watch the video before buying your fabric. I didn't understand how the bag was made and wished I had picked a more vibrant fabric for the interior.
2.) Follow the instructions and it will all work out.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Casual

Materials

100% cotton quilting fat quarters, Pellon fusible fleece, & standard serger thread.

What are you most proud of?

When I finished the bag you would have thought I had done the most extraordinary thing in the world based on how I reacted! At one point you have 2 dimensional fabric and then a few minutes later you have a 3 dimensional object! It is so cool!!! :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Make sure you follow the instructions and measure correctly.

Haha- I like your "most proud of comment". It does feel pretty great to make your first bag and have it "pop" up suddenly! Nice job!
