What materials did you use? All cotton on the quilt top and a Barnartex Minkee for the backing. The blocks were 18 " put together to make a quilt 54 x 72. Great for large print fabrics. Also used the Steam a Seam Lite for the appliqu in the blocks.

What are you most proud of? I am so happy this technique worked so well. I am proud that I completed it in time for my Granddaughters Birthday!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It is a fairly quick pattern and could be put together using a couple of the techniques Ann taught in the course. If you are a beginner, don't use Minkee!

Is this applique or machine embroidery - hard to tell?

It is machine appliqud with a heavy satin stitch. The Kitty portion of the blocks are 12 " and the entire block is18 inces

I love this quilt! I would like information on how to make one for my grandaughter. Is this fussy cut?

These are appliqud onto the 12 inch blocks. They are not fussy cut. I used images from on line and in books to make the pattern for HK. The quilt itself is outlined above in the instructions. Thanks and good luck with your quilt.

Hello Kitty is popular here in Denmark too! My 2 year old granddaughter loves it, and your project gives inspiration! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Danegirl ! Kitty is timeless and such an icon. I wished I had been the one who created her.
