Quilting: Longarm doodles
3 kudoz

Longarm doodles

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Other

Style: Whimsical

Materials

muslin, high loft batting and Signature thread

What was your inspiration?

started out practicing freehand 15" spirals on my longarm....it morphed into a day of fun doodling and playing.

What are you most proud of?

That randomness and free form doodling can not only be great for practicing but turns out so unique and fun.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

relax, no rules, just doodle and fill in as you go.

Hi Rafaella, I have a Gammill Classic Longarm machine and that is the machine i use to do this work. I know there is amazing free motion quilting done on domestic machines which you would need a 'darning foot' and also drop your feeddogs to move your machine in all directions. Here is a link to a free motion site which might help start you on your way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39I5A3iyCtw Let me know how you are doing! :)
