What are you most proud of? Now this shirt fits like a dream and actually makes me look a bit slimmer because it's not so sloppy, and doesn't fall off at the shoulder.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If it doesn't fit anyway, there's not much risk. If you start cutting it up and screw it up -- oh well. But in reality, if you know basic patterning and sewing, you can do this with no problem!

Thank you. It is rather intimidating to cut into all ready made clothing that you spent money on. But if it doesn't fit right, you won't wear it, or when you do you'll feel awkward. So take a deep breath and start cutting. Remember your pattern shaping, where things should line up. It was fun to have it turn out so great, I wear it all the time, now.

Definitely a garment to be proud to wear. Great job.

I've sewn basic garments for myself over 20 years ago, but nothing since, until recently. Altering this shirt has given me confidence to get back into sewing. I have created, designed and drafted, and constructed a custom Mother of the Bride dress for a customer. Stressful, but rewarding. Thank you all for your support.
