What are you most proud of? This was a very quick bag to sew today. It was fun. I had plenty of time left over to make vegetable beef soup, and slice watermelon for dinner. While the soup simmered I read about French Braid Quilts. A great day. Tomorrow will be the day from hell. No sewing--bummer. I'll be up on the scaffold in the stairwell of the foyer repairing 120 year old plaster walls in our Queen Anne Victorian. Our whole house restoration began six years ago. When we acquired it--the house had been sitting vacant for more than 3 decades There was no water, the dining room ceiling was on the floor, and the electrical looked like two kite strings coming into the house. We're almost done with the restoration. Check out our restoration journey in photos at http://www.1893victorianfarmhouse.blogspot.com. Or just google: 1893 victorian farmhouse. You can also see photos of my studio on the website. Leave me a note.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? KEEP SEWING SPACE ORGANIZED The first thing I do every morning in the studio is put everything away from the previous day's sewing tornado. I fold messy piles of fabrics and make the studio presentable--as if company were coming. I get more than just a pleasant feeling from organization--I get a promise of not losing my mind trying to find things. I use a blackboard in my kitchen, and pin board in the studio for important notes. Its not decoration--its "Information Central" about projects, clients, and I even pin-up some of the fabulous charms, and bling I want to feature on bags. I sweep the studio floor first, then put every tool in its place before I begin sewing. While I sweep I make decisions which project I'll be working on, and visualize the steps to complete the project. The studio is 50 degrees F. when I start sweeping and by the time I've finished putting things away it is warm and I'm ready to boogie.

Definitely a fun and funky little bag! A great showpiece for your wonderful beads & the little robot looks exactly like a chalkboard sketch. Have a safe day on your scaffolding! Now I get to go around fretting about you, too! Two kids, two grandkids, and now a friend I've never seen who lives far away. Sigh... You'd better post something when you come down to the ground just so I'll know you made it with nothing broken.

Love this! Which kind of thread did you use for the robot? It' seem really thick ( perhaps cotton 30?).
