London Tube - Paper Pieced

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
London Tube - Paper Piecing »

Category: Quilting

For: Home

Style: Casual

What was your inspiration?

The intricacy of the London underground fascinates me as well as the city.

(Blogged @ http://www.whimsandfancies.com/mind-the-gap/)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go crazy with the colors, I added a picture with the pattern for all the London transportation color combination :)

This made me smile as I'm sitting here killing time until I catch a train to London in about an hour's time. Thereafter I have to travel on the Tube across London between stations (Liverpool Street to Paddington) to get to Penzance in Cornwall by tonight! I'm a bit worried about the Tube journey as London is very crowded at present because of the Olympics, but I hope seeing your block is a good omen and there won't be any delays! Incidentally, I really like the block!

Thank you! I got a t-shirt with "Mind The Gap" printed on it while I was there, that's what got me thinking about making this block. I can only imagine how bad it must be now during the Olympics. I do hope that my block was a good omen for you and you made it safely to Cornwall and recovering from the journey :)
