Materials

Mountain Colors Louisa cashmere/silk in their 20th Anniversary Retro Color Loganberry.

What was your inspiration?

Mountain Colors chose their 20th Anniversary Retro Color called "Loganberry" for this new shawl pattern. I designed a cabled lace stitch for the shawl's edging that suggests the slightly oblong shape and seeds of the loganberry.

What are you most proud of?

Mountain Colors asked me to do a special design for their 20th anniversary in their brand new cashmere/silk yarn.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Choose any light fingering weight yarn or sock yarn for your project. This crescent-shaped shawl begins with a strip of lace edging worked on only 19 to 23 sts with an 8-row repeat. The short-rowed body of the shawl is an easy, very lacy one-row stitch pattern that works up in a jiffy.
