Made for a teenage girl in our local school who had just lost her mum to cancer and her grandmother is also dying of cancer. I just felt I needed to brighten her day with cheerful colours in this quilt for her.

I have made many log cabin quilts but yours caught my eye with the wonderful color choices and placement. Then, I read your story of why you created this look and it made me cry. What a wonderful gift for that girl and I am sure that it will brighten her darkest days. I am going to do another one of these and 'attempt' to duplicate your look. Hope mine turns out at least HALF as beautiful as this one! Keep up the good work. I always like to know that my quilts are going to a good home where they will be loved and cherished. Sounds like this one of yours sure will.

Wow! I can't stop staring at it. Lol. As my eyes keep refocusing, I keep seeing new elements. Tons of interest in this piece in such subtle ways. Bravissimo!

Love the cheerfulness of this quilt - great use of a traditional pattern with a modern playfulness!

I am SO impressed! You've contrasted the colours beautifully to give the whole pattern form. Congratulations! I'm sure the young lady who is to receive it will love it and I hope it helps to cheer her in this dark time of her life.
