What are you most proud of? My fabric choices! I think this traditional block is made even more fun by the fabrics that I chose.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is not a difficult block by any means, but your fabric selections can really make it. Select your favourite fabrics but don't be worried over being hindered by overly matchy-matchy fabrics or "perfection" - the log cabin really shines with unexpected and fun choices.

Kind of homely, don't you think?

did you mean homey? if not, that's just a mean comment.

Kaye, this block is amazing. Some people just have the gift of color sense...you being one. I'm seeing more projects using gray with accent colors and I'm LIKING them. **Re: a certain someone's comment, it still holds true that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

I love this! It is so pretty and has such interesting fun fabrics. At first glance I thought that couch was a very stout purple sheep with tiny legs. Ha ha...which I would've liked too. But that couch fabric is so cool! Echino perhaps?

Thanks - glad you like it! The couch fabric is actually from Laurie Wisbrun's Tufted Tweets collection.
