What was your inspiration?
My little girl's room is on the corner of the house so it tends to be cold. She is such a little thing that she doesn't generate alot of her own body heat so I wanted to make a cozy quilt for her with a minky back - nice and warm. I redecorated her room and found this group of fabric that matched so well and went to work....eighteen months later I finally finished it because I procrastinated so badly! But it's done and she was patient with me!
What are you most proud of?
That three generations quilted on this quilt. I hand quilted the borders and my mom, myself and my little 5 year old worked on it! She learned to do stitching on the drawn line and tie knots in some of the other squares. Her little stitches are precious to me.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't take so long to finish! :)
