Instructions

Knit seamlessly from the neck down, this classic little jacket features unique asymmetrical diamond cabling on the fronts, sleeves and back, as well as running up and over the hood. Yarn Requirements: - Knit Picks Swish DK 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 123 yards/50 gram ball - Main Color - 350(385, 465, 498, 602, 714, 748) yds -Swish DK - Contrast Color - 20(20, 20, 20, 30, 30, 40) yds dk weight yarn *Sample shown in #24956 Dove Heather (MC) and # 24310 Amethyst Heather (CC)* Needles: -US 5 (3.75mm) circular needles for body & cuffs, at least 24 in length for body and 24length or shorter for cuffs (longer is preferred when working the i-cord edge around the whole coat) -US 3 (3.25mm) circular at least 24 in length for body and 24length or shorter for cuffs - US6 (4mm) crochet hook Notions: - cable needle -8+ stitch markers (you may want to use more) -darning needle - sharp needle for sewing zipper, pins, matching thread. -zipper

What was your inspiration?

I knit this little sweater for a friends little girl. She chose a simple, unisex look :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Carefully read the directions and charts as the cables are asymetrical.
