What was your inspiration?
I needed a bag for my Godchild. She a quadruplet and her parents have distinguished each child by color. My Godchild is "yellow" - hence the yellow bag. I wanted a small bag that I could use as a gift bag and would be small enough for her to play with. I was looking to use up some scraps and figured the colored stripes worked with the yellow for a fun.
What are you most proud of?
This was my first bag and I'm most pleased with the quilted lines. They are not perfectly straight, but I'm happy with the way the quilted part came out.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make the bag bigger than your thinking you'll need. You can always trim it down after the quilting if it is too larger.
