this is my first skirt made after a block for my sister while learning the skirt pattern class - then I widened it a bit and added the pockets. hope she'll like it! I had lots of fun doing it.

I love it. The color is wonderful and the pockets and waistline facing came out nice. I had a hard time sewing up the pockets on my muslin. In the corner it wouldn't lay flat. The front center corner, if that makes any sense. I need practice! Good job!

I used some very thin cotton for doubling the waist and pockets precisely to avoid bulk at the seams - it feels good, not I wait for the final try on and I'll hem it the old fashioned way, with hand-hidden stitches ;-)

@sewtroublesaway - I used some very thin cotton for doubling the waist and pockets precisely to avoid bulk at the seams - it feels good, not I wait for the final try on and I'll hem it the old fashioned way, with hand-hidden stitches ;-)
