What was your inspiration?

I knitted this as a little over-swimsuit number, but as it was February when these pictures were taken, my niece wore it over a jersey dress and used a diamante hair-slide to close the front and turned it into a lovely cocktail outfit.

This is really gorgeous - what patience to knit so much in the same pattern. I hope you get lots of wear from it. It really is beautiful.

Am going to publish this as part of a series of 'look what I found in the discount bin' for impoverished knitters. So why charge for the pattern I hear you ask. Cos I'm fed up of being impoverished!

Please, let me/other knitters, how we may get your pattern! Via craftsy, blog, ravelry...? What yarn did you use? Amazing/fun, when we find perfect yarn, discounted :-

[hit enter too soon] Have found incredible yarn, in discounted/sale area of knitting shop, in the past. One time, the store didn't have what was needed, for pattern-store took us to sale area, and got yarn for the project...future knits too. You truly showed, how to do a project, using a budget friendly yarn, that looks as if the yarn cost a fortune and why we should check, 'discount bin,' each visit :-) Fabulous job!

Excellent idea, model, and work! Thanks for sharing! (Can't help but think of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, who wore very tailored suits -- A beautiful "look")

Thank you! Colour was lucky pick - found three balls in the discount bin. Outfit cost less than 10 to knit!
