What materials did you use? cotton fabrics, batting, basic sewing supplies

What are you most proud of? The quilt as shown on the magazine cover has only quilting in the ditch around the basic items. I added loopy free motion quilting to the background, zig-zag quilting to the owl bodies to give them feathers, bark to the tree trunks and leave design to the border.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a pieced pattern using templates printed in the magazine Quilt Craft , October 1994.
