Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Cake Decorating

Type of item: Food

For: Girls

Style: Cute

Materials

Chocloate cake with a pink girly buttercream. You can't see in the photos but there is also a dusting of disco dust for 'glitter'.

What was your inspiration?

A little 1 year old's smash cake. Lots of ruffles for a very girly girl.

What are you most proud of?

Color and different than what other ruffle cakes I've seen. Most are around the cake, not up and down.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go for it!

Simply Beautiful! can you tell me which tip did you use to make the ruffles?

It was just the rose tip, 104. I did make a bigger guest cake for the birthday, based on the smash cake and I used a left 116, slightly bigger. Thank you.

Exquisite. Your ruffles are precise and unique. Much too pretty to smash, but what fun the wee ones have doing it and what a memorable occasion and delightful photographs come from the process.
