What was your inspiration?

I needed to come up with something I could make family members last Christmas. I absolutely love batik fabrics and had collected a nice assortment of fat quarters. I had to add to my stash to make all I needed. Each one developed a personality of its own. I had a hard time matching the bowl to the person to whom it was intended.

What are you most proud of?

I was very happy to have finished enough of the little bowls in time for Christmas.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a great project to do while watching TV. Prepare your strips of fabric and place them neatly in plastic baggies. Arrange them by color families in a box. Let the colors talk to you as you build each bowl. The uniqueness of each will amaze you.
