What was your inspiration?
I wanted to sharpen my sewing design and technique skills by creating a semi-formal brides' maid dress using the couture dress technique- in preparation for my goal of creating a couture bridal gown. Someday I would like to own a BERNINA sewing machine.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the fact I followed (and found necessary) every single detail in the process of the couture technique. The result- Little "blue" dress- is a work of art (and heart). It fits the recipient (my daughter) perfectly. The construction is equal to the quality I observed at Nordstrom's in the couture collections of some of the most famous designers.
