What are you most proud of? I got this quilted with time to spare before Christmas! I must say that all my FMQ classes contributed to me having the confidence to quilt this one, but Kimmy's Star pattern remains a firm favourite of mine! I have used it in every second block as well as in the entire border altho I have chosen to keep the quilting light and so the star pattern doesn't show up well in the border part. I didn't want it too dense as I felt the cat fabric was the star of the border. I still love it tho! I also used an ordinary foot rather than FMQ'd the border so I didn't have to draw all the lines in to keep them straight... hey it's all done on my DSM so I'm allowed to right? I waited for the quilt Police to tap me on the shoulder but they never did LOL!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If I can, you can! By breaking it down and working on smaller sections I was able to manage this on my DSM... with the help of an extra table in front on my sewing machine table and another smaller table to the side of me! NOTE: Quilt label still to be done, but it's coming :-)

I LOVE what you did with this quilt! The fabrics, the piecing, the quilting, everything. It's a great total package! The way you used the stars in the nine patch blocks is genius: it accents the shape of those blocks perfectly. Bravo to you!

Oh thanks heaps Darns! Yeah just love the QCR... amazingly simple to piece but so effective and fun. Can't wait to do another but the UFO pile has got past begging for attention, its now demanding it LOL. Our Craftsy classes have unleashed quilting demons LOL.
