What was your inspiration?
my younger daughter's 10th wedding anniversary- this quilt is the same pattern as my sister & brother in law's quilt, but Lisa wanted her room colors, which is a cool sage/sea foam green- her husband, like my brother in law is very proud of his Irish heritage, so it made the choice of pattern easy!
What are you most proud of?
First, finding sharock fabric that was a cool enough green not to clash with their bedroom-2nd figuring a way to use the shamrock template i had for hand quilting to work in the open section- pretty happy with that and a big thank you to my friend, Dallas, who designed the border template several years ago for another quilt, im really happy with the way that turned out!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
just be sure your blocks are cleaned up & similar in size, makes putting the quilt together much easier!!
