Needed a donation quilt for my guild.

I learned how to use the satin blanket bias as a border.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The most perfect baby quilt I ever made has a little satin for touch and flannel on the back. The babies love them and use them a long time. They seem to love the feel of the satin.
