Very raw linen fiber in a six-fold strength
What was your inspiration?
Every once and a while I want to do something with super organic feeling fibers, like linen and I had found very affordable spools of this fiber, really, on Ebay. Turns out that what I bought would've probably done better in weaving, or machine knitting, perhaps, but some yarn manipulation (rolled it into six times its thickness), and then this pattern from the Novita pattern book, I gave it a try.
What are you most proud of?
I keep saying that I really don't like crochet, but I do it every once and a while, and with little accessories like this, crochet actually is a lovely and lively texture to tinker with. Just don't get me started on those gaudy acrylic grandma's squares.....(shiver!)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This bag and the pattern came out very true to size, in retrospective I'd probably make it a tad bigger.
