What was your inspiration?
My Best Friend, Linda, the Matron of Honor in our wedding, was diagnosed with breast cancer a week after our wedding. She is the most beautiful person I have ever met...thank GOD, she is cancer free, now, after two surgeries and two years later. She is such an inspiration to me. I told her I wanted to make her a quilt. That's not really her taste, so I offered to make a lap quilt. She just wanted something to keep the chill off her legs and fit her, she is petite! I surprised her with this print and the hearts in stitches represented all the love I have for her! Needless to say, when I gave it to her, she was surprised and teared up. What are friends for?
What are you most proud of?
Linda! What a survivor!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It is soo easy! Go for it! A handmade gift says a lot in itself!
