Instructions

Because I'm not a fantastic sewer, I had to read the instructions a couple times over, but just follow them, they really work!

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Casual, Classic

Materials

100% cotton fabric (2 fat quarters), zipper

What was your inspiration?

I have a friend that I saw with the cutest bag... and then she told me that she made it! I just had to have one, too!

What are you most proud of?

It took less than 2 hours, and that includes me ripping a few seams because I didn't follow the instructions closely enough!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be sure to iron as you sew... it makes the finished product so much more professional looking!

If you use a cloth placemat from the store, you don't even need the interfacing or lining fabric. Use a wide ribbon for the strap. :)

so true! Although, the lining does help make the inside (especially where the zipper is) look nice and neat :)
