What are you most proud of?

The fit. I think its the best top I've ever made! Happy with the buttons as well. It took a while to choose them but I love the colour pop. Also just love the fabric and think it works really well. But then I have a liberty addiction!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The fit was a bit wide on me so I had to take the seams in - best done before doing the armhole bindings!! But in the end the fit ended up lovely and I love the top. I needed a little popper to stop the bow bit coming open as the button wasn't up high enough to stop it gaping but that could have been something I missed on the class!

fitted to perfection, a great match with jeans and oh so femme shoes. The trim and button colour/ size add a tailored aspect. Looks great on you.

For some reason I cant seem to post a comment but in reply to below - Hi Davesmom - The top actually wasn't hard to make at all - especially if you follow the instructions which I admit part way through to not paying enough attention! I think it also depends on whether you have done things like arm bindings and facings before. The only new thing to me were the tucks and actually they were very simple. Its the pressing that is important I think with this top to get a nice finish. I also added french seams for a neater finish inside.
